Well Said

As we go about shopping, fighting for parking places and trampling our fellow man during this holiday season we have forgotten the reason we celebrate. This author’s view is as “on target” as I think one can get about how Christians are as much to blame as anyone with the current lack of Christmas inclusion. She gigs the Obamas and their “non-religious” holiday celebration as well as those of us that are Christians. Christians get hammered for the shopping quests and their desire to spend the dollar instead of honoring the day and what it means.

I understand what the holiday is about, but I am as guilty as anyone when it comes to buying gifts and the shopping foolishness. When you become part of the violent feeding frenzy known as Black Friday then you have crossed a line I have yet to get near. I am not speaking of the shopper that goes out for the deals, but the ones that get violent when they do not get that bargain item they were hunting. I think we all could do well to heed the words of this author and think about why we do what we do. As for Obama and gang they will have to answer to a higher authority for what they do. We can only express our displeasure at the ballot box when that time comes.

I agree Austin, some folks get downright mean and ignorant at these sales. I do not understand the mentality, I am glad I can shop on-line.
