Muslims Take Ground Zero #tcot #iamthemob

Why does this seem like a slap in the face to me?

The Sept. 11, 2001, attack killed 2,752 people downtown and doomed the five-story building at 45 Park Place, two blocks north of the World Trade Center. The store remained abandoned for the next eight years, one of the last undeveloped downtown properties damaged in the attack.

But for months now, out of the public eye, an iron gate rises every Friday afternoon, and with the outside rumblings of construction at ground zero as a backdrop, hundreds of Muslims crowd inside, facing Mecca in prayer and listening to their imam read in Arabic from the Koran.

The building, offering retail space for lease, has no sign that hints at its use as a Muslim prayer space, and the worshipers are out in an hour. But these modest beginnings point to a far grander vision: an Islamic cultural, educational and recreational center near the city’s most hallowed piece of land. – New York Times

I guess when people read my book and understand that 9/11 happened because of Muslims coordinating the attacks with assistance from ‘cultural centers’ in the US, they will appreciate why this really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

    That’s impressive.

So, a group of American Muslims stands up and publicly says, “‘We want to push back against the extremists,’ we want to ‘send the opposite statement to what happened on 9/11′ and to build ties with non-Muslim communities and faith groups”…

And you call it a slap in the face.

That’s some lovely thinking, right there.

Strange, sounds exactly what the mosque here in Memphis had to say. In the meantime, one ‘visitor’ is in Little Rock shooting two soldiers and another is posting jihad videos from an Imam linked to 9/11 hijackers and the Fort Hood shooter on the internet.

Yep, all roses growing up at these ‘cultural centers’.

Or perhaps, they want to be closer to their target next time, hmmmm??

What I think is a slap in the face is how to this day there is such a large group of Americans who preach intolerance in the name of America which was founded on the belief in all men being equal.
So many of you people who fight for the “American Way” are blinded by popular media and dribble that is fed to you by conservative terrorists. By being intolerable to the Muslim faith and their rights to practice when and where they choose you are in turn no different than the extremist crying out for action against the “Infidels”.
You call foul when a Muslim attacks America but forget that the US Military has been forcefully occupying much of the Muslim world for almost 20 years. You scream in pain at the 911 attack and blame a religion based on peace and tolerance at the same time forgetting that the Christians tried to exterminate the Muslim faith.
What should feel is like a slap in the face to you is to hear yourself preach hatred and intolerance and then claim to be “Good Christian Americans”…

Don’t even go there asshole. Nothing against the ‘religion of peace’ or those who practice the faith. But until they start dealing with their extremist congregation instead of supporting them, then you are just an ass who does not know what he is talking about.

Do you want to talk about how Christians are treated in Muslim countries? Do your homework and then come talk to me about intolerant “Good Christian Americans’.

  • Denver

You see, here’s the thing. Those Muslim countries where Christians are treated badly never claim to be religiously tolerant. In fact they are usually very straight forward about that. America on the other hand prides it’s self on religious freedom (read the constitution). Yes this country was founded by Christians but America is not a “Christian Country”. The only people that have a problem understanding that are Christians who believe that everyone else should be Christian too…
Secondly you prove my point nicely by attacking me personally showing that there are some people in this country that cannot tolerate a difference in opinion. Intolerance breads hate and violence and proof of that is all over the world. Yes even in America, the home of the free and the land of the brave but narrow minded. Until we start truly excepting the rest of the world’s right to believe what they want there will never be peace. Remember “Pease Begins With You.”

So who are you intolerant of, terrorist or the nation of Islam? Or are they one in the same?
