If true, the Huckster is outta the game….
Lakewood, Washington (CNN) — The person of interest in the gunning down of four police officers in a community outside Tacoma had his 95-year prison sentence commuted by then-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, authorities said late Sunday.

Another one bites the dust…
I’ve been following this story very closely since yesterday morning because it is such a shocking crime. Almost immediately, the anti-RKBA nuts popped up with smart-ass comments like, “If only they had guns, they could have defended themselves.”
Well, it looks like the sergeant got off a few shots and may have even mortally wounded his attacker. From what I’ve been able to gather, the very fact that the killer got shot is what helped them confirm Clemmons as a suspect, because they now know that he is in fact wounded.
I’ll be grateful for the day when the jails are full of violent crazies instead of potheads, when criminals aren’t shown a revolving door when they get to prison, and when nobody thinks twice about the barista at the coffee shop packing heat. Unfortunately, I don’t see anyone from any political party putting that in their platform.

I’m right there with you on that one!
I actually like the Huckster, but his opponents will eat him alive in the Primary season with this one. It would have been nice to have had a pistol-packing patron who the shooter was not focused on to finish what the four police officers did not have time to do.
Well, actually look who you got for R nomination after all that immigration junk went on right about the time the primary started.
I like Huckabee myself but this is an indicator that he did not take proper time to make sure he was not undoing what good the system had done.
