Yes that was impressed and not depressed by Obama in the title. I have to give credit where credit is due and Obama deserves a little credit for this one. When asked “why do people hate you” by fourth-grader, Tyren Scott, Obama gave an answer that I was not expecting. Instead of some hate filled rant aimed at the right he answered the question without malice. Obama’s explanation was one that I could live with and actually was quite true.
Everyone knows that they want to back a winner. You want your side to be right and the other side to be wrong. This works for sports, beauty pageants, stocks, vehicles, politics and just about anything else in this world. People do not naturally want to lose. I am saying as a whole and not individuals. When we do lose we spend out time pointing out the negatives of the winning side so as to make us feel better. In the case of Obama there is usually plenty to help make us feel better since he has done so poorly as President. It must be said that this one instance was a win for Barack Obama. I do not like his politics, but if for only this one time he does have my respect. Do not be so silly as to to think I would ever quit writing negative things about Obama. I said just this one time.

See, the worrisome thing here is that you were expecting Obama to go on a “hate-filled rant aimed at the right” while talking to fourth-graders. That is just utterly irrational.
I mean, this is a politician who freaks the public out when he uses the word “stupid.” The Obama that goes on hateful tirades is simply an Obama that does not exist, even if you want to assume that he’s a commie, fascist, anti-American, racist, Muslim terrorist, underneath all the cool demeanor.
When what you expect on one point is so terribly, terribly removed from what happens, maybe it’s time to start worrying that all of your perceptions are being schewed.
The great thing about being an author on this blog is that I can say whatever I feel like saying about whatever person I choose. Obama has said plenty to anger me in the past and I am sure he will do so in the future. I happen to like what he said this time. This does not change my perception of Obama as a whole. My perception of Obama has been dead on thus far so I think I will stay on this path. Want to know what my perception of you is?
