Loading ...The BCR banner at the top of the blog was originally designed by me. Since the name of the blog is ‘blue collar’, I thought it would be appropriate to include some ‘blue collar’ types on the banner. I wanted a soldier to honor those front line folks who stand up and secure this Nation against her enemies. They leave the politics to someone else, and all they know is their country called and they stood up to be counted. I wanted a police officer and fire fighter because they protect our lives and property here at home, and a health care worker without whom the doctors would be lost. To fill in the gaps I wanted a ‘get their hands dirty’ worker to represent all of those who do the manual labor that keep this country moving. So the people in the banner represent ‘blue collar’ types, NOT republicans since “blue collar’ republicans tend to be more ‘republican-leaning independent’ types than lock-and-step party partisans.
Since graphics is really not my thing, Mick Wright took it upon himself to redesign the banner using the same theme and his looked a lot better than mine, so that is the one in use currently. So when I look at the banner, I see ‘blue collar’ represented, but some folks just have to see something else.
I was able to spot two black guys, and they’re probably only there to pick up some stupid evangelical girls who want to celebrate Diversity. I think my friends over at Blue Collar Republican are going to be waiting a while before their dream of a GOP that’s half black is realized (look at the pic at the top of the page.) – James Edwards
I have no dream of a ‘half-black’ GOP. I would however love to see a conservative GOP, but some folks have to see color and/or gender. I don’t care what color or gender a police officer is. When shot, they all bleed red. I would remind James and all those who think as he does what the Apostle Paul said:
Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

If God does not see color and all of the stuff we like to judge folks by, then I don’t see how we are so bold as to do so.
Personally, I’m sick of hearing all this self-righteous, “I don’t see color” nonsense. That’s about as ignorant as walking up to a stranger’s pit bull, putting your hand in its mouth, and saying “I don’t see breeds.” The GOP has done nothing but pander to minority groups for as long as I’ve been alive and they have not benefitted from it in the slightest.
Consider, this: the typical Republican candidate gets 10% of the black vote. David Duke, on the other hand, ran for Governor of Louisiana as an unabashed right-winger, an unrepentant former klansmen, and on a pro-white platform. The result? He got 9% of the black vote. So, there you go GOP. All of your pandering has resulted in 1% of the black vote, or about .08% of the overall vote.
While conservatives have been busy “not seeing color.” Leftists have been busy flooding the country with blacks and browns who DO see color and who will continue to vote overwhelmingly for Democrats regardless of any efforts by the GOP establishment. Maybe it’s time the GOP came to the realization that, for better of worse, it is the party of white America and start representing the interests of the majority population of this nation. Close the borders, stop affirmative action, and stop transfering this nation’s wealth from the whites who disproportionately earn it to the blacks who disproportionately take it.
Yep, can’t ya just feel the love….
First, if there are no blacks in the GOP, then that is fine with me. If the GOP ends up 90% black, then that is fine with me too, if they are all conservatives.
I can tell you don’t read BCR very often. We don’t pander to nobody.

I see color and I see what it does. It does not make me racist or any less human it makes me a realist. I see a reverse of Apartheid in this country and it is with blacks controlling the majority as the whites did in South Africa. It does not make it right in either sense, but what I do see is that blacks do not want equal rights they want more rights. Just look at Gates who was arrested for breaking into his own house. He was arrested because he broke into a house in an upscale neighborhood and that is that. It just goes to show that Northern folks don’t know who the hell their neighbors are and not about some black dude breaking into a house. This country is well past racism on the white side, but the blacks have not caught up with us. We judge a man by his actions they judge by the color of their skin. Just look at all those against white, Jew, Steve Cohen. They do not want a white representing them and he acts blacker than the blacks do so that just goes to show it is about color. Do you want equality or do you want to be represented by your kind? It works both ways. Also, a majority of my patients are black, but I do not see color, I only see someone that is sick and needs my help. I just wish everyone else could differentiate the two.
The color of a person’s skin has nothing to do with anything. Most of the problems in a specific ethnic area are cultural, not racial. There are idiots everywhere and they come in all religions, colors and creeds.
I agree with you there. There are idiots everywhere of all different skin types. It just seems that racism reigns supreme in the black community and it is aimed at whites. I can understand those that have issues from years ago, but it is about damn time they move forward. No, James has not moved forward either.
I love James. I agree with him on around 90% of what he believes. But his over-emphasis on blacks, hispanics and jews (anyone not european lily-white) in the past couple years scares ths crap out of me.
Just lock him and Thaddeus Matthews in a room and let them work it out. Unfortunately, I think James could kick Thad’s rear in very short order.
I think Thaddeus is just about too stupid to make his limbs move. I think they are the two ends of the spectrum, but at least James can read, speak and write English.
