Loading ...Well maybe the decline in driving will help the gas prices to keep dropping. The only way to combat high gas prices is not to buy gas. We cannot allow our government to dictate gas prices or any other prices. This equates to communism and communism does not work so well. Gas did drop about $3 per barrel even if you have not seen it at the pump yet.

Most likely, the “Elitist” would simply drive anyway, and talk about “how wonderful it is with the peasants off the roads.”……….But, backdoor preasure would still come from the airlines, hotels/resorts, resturants, etc. Imagine all of the retail “Sales Events” that noone showed up for?

Yeah, it’s no bill to dissolve the EPA but the gas tax holiday combined with some of the other things she’s talking about (drilling in ANWAR and the ethanol stuff) might not be so bad.

Actually, I think Blackburn is saying she would suspend the ethanol subsudies for a little while.
That is a bandaid that does not cure the problem.
I would call for the elimination of those subsudies all together because, IMHO, it is harmful to poorer people.
