Since When Is The Gadsden Flag Probable Cause?

bonus-gadsden_flag

This in from WND via the Ol’ Broad at Facebook….

A Louisiana driver has been stopped and detained for having a “Don’t Tread on Me” bumper sticker on his vehicle and warned by a police officer about the “subversive” message it sent, according to the driver’s relative.

Since when is a Gadsden flag ‘probable cause’ for a traffic stop!?  And ‘subversive message’????

The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the snake is the legend “DONT TREAD ON ME” [sic]. The flag was designed by and is named after American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden. It was also used by The United States Marine Corps as an early motto flag. – Wiki

I bought a Gadsden flag to display at the last tea party event, but I guess now I will have to order a bumper sticker as well. This crap is really starting to get on my nubs.
